People in India, right from my parents generation to mine, have given up on politics. Its downright disgusting, to say the least. So, to satiate my need to look away from such stupidity, Obama seemed to be the best candidate to follow for sometime now. And considering the divided opinion of the people of the United States off late, it seems wise to not think of him at all

This was until Anna Hazare, a Indo-Pak war veteran, arrived on the scene especially in regards to the 2011 anti-corruption movement. Yes, his fast unto death generated much attention from the people, that have been sleeping for years in this country.

Come to think of it, if a bout of fasting can move a country that has treacherous people within its own ranks to action, you can imagine what it can do for you, if youre considering this method for fat loss.

According to numerous personal accounts and doctors, they consider fasting to be an excellent idea to try if you want to lose weight even though its probably the oldest method that has been around.

Fasting is normally associated with spiritual devotion or as a method of protest much like Mahatma Gandhi has done, and people like Anna Hazare will continue to do so.

Before you jump right into fasting weight loss you have to remember three stages of fasting in order for it to be as effective as possible.

Since fasting is about 24 hours, the normal timing for fasting that happens between sunrise to sunset. So you could go about your fasting for weight loss the same way.

Stage #1: Mental & Physical Preparation

Ensure that you make your mind up to fast for the entire duration while also remembering to eat a decent meals while drinking sufficient liquids the previous day. This stage is vital to successful fasting even though you think otherwise.

Stage #2: The Fast

Firstly, avoid physical tasks during the tasks and try to think of anything else other than food. Preferably, think intellectual or spiritual thoughts during this time.

Stage #3: Breaking your fast correctly
